Ethnography is a highly specialised and hugely under-rated collectibles category on eBay. You can often fetch very high prices from the kinds of items I’ve personally seen selling at upmarket art and collectibles auctions in the UK.
 
I found lots of definitions for ‘ethnography’ online today, some very complicated, some difficult to interpret, others somewhat disrespectful.

Paper Money / Banknotes represents a popular collectible with good price potential and requires very little knowledge or experience for virtually anyone to make regular high profits on eBay. I know very little about them myself but I know a secret that makes banknotes one of the best products to ever consider selling on eBay. The secret has to do with what was said elsewhere in this issue, about listing products fast and furiously, preferably ‘same kind’ products using templates, and aiming to grow positive feedback numbers to a point where the odd negative has negligible effect on feedback percentage.

I stumbled upon the idea of selling catalogs on eBay after amassing quite a collection of Victoria’s Secret catalogs and I was amazed to find a whole subculture of people buying and selling these things on eBay! They were listing them like they were rare gems from Sotheby’s, and, no doubt, to some folks, they are! I started exploring catalog sales, and searching eBay’s completed auction information for what sold. I found that some vintage catalogs sold for $500 and up!
 
Let me show how you can find catalogs that sell for nice sums. There are essentially two types of valuable catalogs: valuable antique catalogs, and modern catalogs. We’ll start with a look at some of the specific catalogs that sell for big money.
