I always find them don't I: customers to make my life a
misery, losers to make me wish I'd never bothered
starting a business on eBay?
Just last week I decided to try eBay's 'Best Offer' deal
and allow eBayers to submit their top price for some of
my information products.
All went well until Mr. Big Time Loser arrived at my
door. There was a 'Best Offer' in my eBay box this
morning, for my product 'How to Make a Killing from
Repossessed Properties', normal price £312.99.
Our friend's best offer: £31.05!
Quickly declined I was about to remove the BEST BUY
buttons when I took a swig of coffee instead, calmed
down a little, and decide to check if other people had
suffered similar insults on eBay and to see just how low
some people really will go to make a sale.
I began searching other people I know selling
information products with 'Best Offer' promotions. I
know three quite well so I checked them out first.
Using the 'Advanced Search' technique, top right of
eBay's pages, then clicking on 'Seller', next page keying
in members' eBay IDs and ticking 'Completed Auctions',
you get a perfect insight not only into how many
products those people sold over the past month or so, but
also what 'Best Offers' they accepted and which they
declined.
This is what I learned and please take notice of these
factors in your eBay business or risk losing money from
now to forever.
* Just one of my model sellers offers more than £31 off
usual prices, sometimes that person accepts less than half
the normal price. Not a good idea, even if you really are
skint, I'll tell you why later.
* The other two decline all offers of more than £31 off
their products.
* The really bad news is, when you search sellers' past
auctions you can see exactly how low they will go on
price, and you can even work out which days they are
more likely to accept those low prices. That's great news
for buyers who are familiar with this advanced search
technique who can use this information to get fabulous
discounts on all manner of Best Offer items on eBay.
* The big problem is, because anyone can see just how
low you will go for your products makes you a push-over
for greedy bargain hunters, and prey for big sellers to
grab your stock to resell on eBay - at closer to market
value!
* Accept more than fifty per cent off your normal price
today, and tomorrow someone will expect sixty per cent
off, next day seventy percent, and so it goes - until finally
you won't even be covering your costs! Face it, you're
not running a charity, so don't treat your business as one.
I'm giving my books just another week or so to determine
how this BEST OFFER business BEST BENEFITS me!
I'll update you on this next week but for now, play it
carefully.

Have I Found the Perfect Product
for You to Sell on eBay?
***
There's a great report I read the other day called 'The
Real Secret To Quick and Easy eBay£E Profits!' which
gave many incredible insights into profits earned by
some of the world's most highly respected eBay
information product sellers.
It was a report about an eBook just released and focusing
on selling information products on eBay. The report took
me just a short while to read and though I've been in this
infomarketing business for many years now, I still
couldn't guess the secrets the book would reveal to me
later.
So I ordered THE AUCTION PROFIT MACHINE right
away and I'm really glad I did. It was all the writers
promised and more and really does show how anyone can
sell eBooks and other information products on eBay.
I'm not going to hog this week's eLetter with a blatant
promotion for you to buy the book, but I thought you
might like to take a look, especially as I am offering
some of my own best selling courses free of charge to
early buyers.
If you order I'll give you the choice of one of my
products free of charge. Just send the receipt you get
from ClickBank confirming your purchase to
mailto:avril@clippingsfactory.com with FREE
AUCTION BOOK in the email subject box and your
choice of either of these products.
* THE ULTIMATE PUBLISHER PROT=C9G=C9
PROGRAMME - includes several eBooks, one more
than 200 pages long and revealing the secrets of my own
success in the information publishing business.
* HOW TO GET RICH IN MAIL ORDER AND
DIRECT MAIL with a web site and full resell rights.
**** ORDER BEFORE 10pm tomorrow evening and
YOU'LL GET BOTH BOOKS FREE with your purchase

We have all seen the phenomenal growth spurt of eBay
and have been amazed by it. Today eBay is a major
market place that sells billions each and every day. With
some basic skills you can find anything that your heart
might desire on eBay.
However, the problem is no longer to determine whether
or not a particular product is being sold on eBay.
eBay is such a huge market place that the new problem
has become one of finding items being sold on eBay.
This article is filled with useful tips to help your search
eBay to find the exact products you are looking for at a
great price.
For many users the World Wide Web and eBay in
particular are a fun place to just click around and explore
things and that is a lot of fun. On the other hand if you
have a specific product that you want not being able to
find it can be a source of frustration for many. The real
skill today lays in intelligent and targeted search through
eBay's listings.
Not the Search Box silly!
Most people that have chosen to look for things on eBay
either waste hours wandering around aimlessly hoping to
stumble upon the product they want or they use the very
limited eBay search box on the front page. This is fine
for basic searches and simple products. However, if you
want to unlock the huge treasure trove of products then
you are going to have to search eBay using their
advanced searching features. If you look under the
standard search box for the words advanced search and
click on the link you can start to do strategic searching.
From the advanced search menu you can see a wide
variety of options that opens up to you. For example you
can search by excluding words that you do not want. You
can also search by seller, by buyer or category. Using
these advanced features can help you narrow down the
results and find the specific items you are looking for.
Often items will be sold for really cheap only because
they are so buried and the seller has not used a good
auction title. So by truly searching eBay and using the
advanced search you can find tremendous deals.
Been there, Done that Searching
Not sure what to pay for the item you are looking for or
want to find out what a good price for a product would
be? Then try going to the advanced search page on eBay
and type in your keywords. Then about midway down the
page check the box that says "Completed Listings Only"
This will give you a full overview of the products that
have sold or not sold on eBay and the prices they have
gone for. This is a great way to find out what your top
bid should be. Just remember to include the cost of
shipping. Sometimes products that look cheaper are
really not because of the shipping price.
What is your Model's number?
Do you have a specific item in mind that you really want
to purchase? If you have read all of the latest reviews on
digital cameras and you know that you want a Canon
A610 digital camera then try using the model number in
your search. This will filter out some of the useless
auctions and help you narrow the field to find exactly
what you are looking for.
Super Deals Typo Searching
Another great way to use eBay searches to save a little
extra money for your house is look for auction with typos
in the title. These often get missed in the plethora of
products and you can therefore swoop in at the last
minute and place a bid right before it closes. This is
really pretty easy to do just come up with a list of
misspelled keywords for the items you want to buy. Then
look at the auction titles and find the products that don't
have any bids yet.
By using eBay search and the advanced search feature
you can find incredible deals and target the exact product
you are looking for. This will help you get in to eBay and
get out quickly. You have no wasted time meandering
around the eBay neighborhood.

12 Easy Ways to Maximise Your eBay Product Photos
by JoanYankowitz

It's a fact. Clear, high-quality photos will greatly enhance
your chances of selling your products on eBay. Here are
12 simple tips that will help you make the most of your
eBay product photos.
1. You don't need an expensive, high-resolution digital
camera for your eBay photos. You just need a digital
camera that will produce a 640x480 pixel image (which
includes just about all digital cameras on the market.)
2. Before you buy a camera, handle it to feel how
comfortable it is in your hands. Make sure the camera
controls are logical, and that it's easy to transfer photos
from the camera to your computer. The camera should be
able to focus within four inches or less.
3. When taking a photo for your eBay product, generally
select the camera's smallest photo size. If you are going
to crop the image or upload it to eBay's picture services,
however, select at least a 1024 x 768 image size.
4. Disable your camera's built-in flash when taking a
photo. The built-in flash produces a glare on the photo
and makes your products look two-dimensional.
5. Use your camera's "Macro Focus" feature to take
close-ups of your product. ("Macro Focus" is usually
indicated by a tulip flower symbol.)
6. The key to effective product photography is lighting,
and the key to effective lighting is control. You can
control the strength, size, position, color and number of
lights you use. And each of these controls changes how
the subject looks. Review your camera's manual to
understand your camera's "white balance" symbols (i.e. a
light bulb for indoor shots with incandescent lights, a sun
symbol for outdoor photos, etc.) You'll use the white
balance control to get accurate colors. You can preset the
white balance to match the type of light you're using
(daylight, shade, tungsten, fluorescent).
7. Use the "Exposure Control" (EV) to correct light and
dark photos. A plus number lightens the image, a minus
number darkens it.
8. Use a tripod when taking pictures of your product. The
tripod stabilizes your camera and eliminates blurry
photos.
9. Photograph your products at an angle.
10.Take more than one photo of each item. For example,
if you are selling clothing, take one full-length photo; one
photo of the tag showing size, fabric, content, brand; and
one or more close-up photos showing the texture of
fabric and any details or flaws.
11.Use photo-editing software to make final adjustments.
12.Host your pictures on your own website. You will
save money and be able to use as many pictures as you
need to adequately show eBay bidders your products. It's
simple, and yet 70 percent of eBay sellers don't do it.
Adding high-quality product photos that enhance your
eBay listings will greatly increase your sales. Try it
today!
